Duration and preparation

My passion for artwork began many years ago when I was a child. I would spend hours sketching and drawing, eventually moving into other mediums such as acrylic painting. With an extensive background working closely with children, I was constantly inspired to create works of art for them to enjoy. Friends, family and the birth of my two daughters gave me the inspiration, support and encouragement to begin sharing my work.

I truly look forward to working with you, and creating a unique piece of artwork that your family can enjoy for many years to come.

Regards,

denise

Pricing

As an artist, one of the most difficult aspects of selling my artwork is determining a price. By choosing a custom designed creation, you are ensuring that your piece is truly “one of a kind." There are many aspects involved in creating your artwork: however large or small, including design research, sketches and revisions, materials and the time it takes to “create." All commissioned artwork is a custom-tailored unique piece; no two murals will ever be the same. The price for a wall mural ranges from $10-$30 a square foot, with a minimum charge of $250. A 25% (non-refundable) deposit is required before work begins, with the balance due upon completion.

Design process

Your creation begins with a “brainstorming” session, where we will meet and discuss any ideas, inspirations and styles, as well as review the proposed site and budget. If you do have a budget in mind, please let me know, and I can design something especially for you within that price range. After our initial meeting, I will provide you with a first draft sketch free of charge and outline the price and time estimate of the project. Any major changes to the first draft sketch are subject to an additional fee.

Duration and preparation

Murals can take anywhere from a day to several weeks to complete, depending on the detail and size involved. For a wall mural, please have the area clear of any furniture, window coverings, electrical switch plates, etc. prior to the beginning of the project. Walls should be washed with a mild soap and water solution, and any holes or cracks filled and sanded. I use non-toxic acrylic/latex paint which is low odor, and provides beautiful color and durability. Any future repairs to the mural can be arranged for an added fee, based on the size and extent of the damage.
